Today I visited Pateley Bridge, Nidderdale, North Yorkshire for a meeting with a printer for specialist printing work. I do prefer to work Independents as I personally feel you do get a more professional approach for than it’s just a job attitude. We had a great chat then when I left I went to Ripon. There’s a great gallery there owned by an Artist David Stead who’s work is fantastic. There was a sign on the door advertising that he was working at his studio and it was open to the public, so back to car and drove to Norton Conyers. (Which happens to be on route back) Norton Conyers House & Gardens had an open day for the gardens today also. So not only met Mr David Stead in the superb studio (upstairs above the stables in the courtyard) which was a joy to visit, I then had a great walk around the garden! I spoke to a member of the team about a mock orange tree they had and asked about cuttings as I’ve got a lovely mock orange in the front garden. So it turns out, it’s best to take cuttings in July.
