Just having a wander

Day 2 in London.  Had a great nights sleep, leisurely start to the day - after breakfast back to the room to shower and get myself ready for the day ahead!

First stop fo the day was "Camden Town Market"- Love this place!  So vibrant, buzzing with excitement, the aromas of the food vendors with tantalising foods from around the globe, the artisan products and hippy fashions.  It's all on offer here.  The stables market architecturally are amazing along with the history of the place.  The top left is a stable door - I love the textures and design,  If these doors could talk! Top middle photo was of a gift trader and I was attracted by the layout and how inviting it was.

After here the next stop was Covent Gardens... Just like Camden - the indoor and outdoor markets are amazing!  Full of arts and crafts, always in awe of the talent here, with their homemade crafts.  The street entertainment is magical from musicians to comedy acts. You can't fail but to be uplifted here. The Top right photo is a sky-walkway connecting two buildings at Covent Gardens,  Like how externally it look twisted.

From there I walked to Leicester Sq and the images (bottom left and middle) looked very retro and from the 70's - loved the look and it didn't look dated either, very well kept and clean...

I then popped along to The Photographers Gallery (just off Oxford Street) and the exhibition was about Cross-dressers in history dating from around 1880 onwards.  It was certainly an eye opener as you wouldn't think that back then that this would be a subject that would have been recorded on film due to the complexity on how different and how difficult live was back then.  It was certainly thought provoking to how things have changed or not as the case maybe?  As the latter part of the last sentence it just goes to show that
 genderism isn't a 20th century statement.

The bottom right image was taken in the same gallery but a different exhibition, I was particularly drawn to the leading lines.

A lot of walking and more walking - another early night and looking forward to my last day in the great smoke!
